Built in 1716, the chapel is dedicated to Saint Anne, who was one of the region's most revered patron saints from the 15th century. In 1991, four Stations of the Cross by ceramist and art professor Maria Hasemeier-Eulenbuch were installed inside. Two of the windows were also recently designed by the artist André Blank from Raeren. The chapel is still used for church services today.

Small climb to the chapel, beautiful building

"The St. Anne Chapel has stood on a hill in the Raeren-Berg district since 1716.
It is surrounded by large linden trees and includes a small park with a statue of the Virgin Mary. The chapel committee aims to preserve this gem and to preserve its dignity and silence.
The women keep the interior of the chapel in good condition. They clean, decorate and prepare the chapel for mass every Tuesday from May to September.
The men lovingly look after the outside areas, where they have a lot of work to do.
When there is unusual work, neighbors are always willing to actively support the committee. The community workers are also helpful.
The chapel was completely restored a few years ago and given a new shine. It is open to every visitor every day and welcomes them. We hope that it will remain with us for many years to come as a place of reflection, prayer, communal celebration of the Eucharist or silence remains..."
