Hiking
In the area of the Krafla Caldera, there is not only the well-known geothermally active region of Hverir, but also Kröflusvæði, which here at Leirhnjúkur with fumeroles, hot springs and mud pots shows visitors the creative power of nature.

Hiking
This area includes the Leirhnjúkur and Krafla volcanoes, the Víti crater, and the Hvíthólaklif area, where the Krafla geothermal power plant is located. Like Hverir, Kröflusvæði is home to many geothermal features.
