The concert hall in the Steinfurt Bagno, also known as the Bagno Concert Gallery Steinfurt, has been a listed building since 1986[1] in the Bagno, an important park near Burgsteinfurt, a district of Steinfurt in the Steinfurt district (North Rhine-Westphalia). It is the oldest free-standing concert hall in Europe.[2] At its peak in the 18th century, Count Karl maintained a court orchestra with 35 singers and instrumentalists.[2]

Since the extensive renovation, which was completed in 1997, the historic concert hall has been used again under the name Bagno Concert Gallery Steinfurt for a variety of concerts, some of which include world-famous artists. Ilse Brusis officially inaugurated the concert gallery on October 10, 1997. The first concert was given by the Tokyo String Quartet. Since then, the concert hall, which has a large Steinway grand piano, has been used extensively.
