The St. Nicolai Church is located in the center of Westerland and near the train station.
The Evangelical Lutheran Church was built due to a significant increase in population, because the village church of St. Niels had become too small.
In 1908 the town church was inaugurated for islanders and guests and you can still attend church services and concerts in the St. Nicolai Church.
