When Johann Hinrich Offen published an advertisement in a newspaper at the beginning of the last century to recommend his inn "to tourists, clubs and cyclists as a transit station", he probably had little thought about what it would look like a hundred years later.
The appearance and many other things have changed, but an important and bold statement of his ad is still unrestricted even today
