Lovely road to cycle or drive along with amazing views all of the way along. I rode it out of peak season but I would imagine it gets very busy in the summer.

It’s great road if you just want to get their. But watch out for fast cars and you do get a lot of roadies using it too.

Beautiful views and some long climbs (and descents). Would suggest not going against the wind as it’s quite exposed and I battled against a Westerly wind on a loaded tourer and wished I’d planned it the other way! Fairly quiet when I went in September but cars do go fast here. I decided to stay on this road rather than go inland on the official route just to cover some miles, but the view is basically the same all the way along so despite being spectacular I’d probably go inland next time. Worth popping down to beautiful Compton beach if low ride as it’s only a short walk from the carpark which is right on the road.
