If you cycle or walk along the Brielse Maas from Brielle to Zwartewaal, you can take a look at the recently constructed Vrijheidsbos.

When you enter the forest you will find a large pond on the left. In summer a beautiful place for butterflies, dragonflies and insects. Close by is the gazebo. When it rains you can take shelter here or contemplate the origin of the forest for a moment. You can get inspiration from the panels that are set up on the left and right along the path. It contains poems by well-known poets, but also by many children from primary schools in Brielle.

Near the trees are signs that tree owners have used to write down a message, wish or thought about an event, loved one or deceased person.

But you can't just walk there, a nature playground has been created in several places where children can clamber and climb.
