The Punta de Anaga lighthouse is the northernmost point of the island, where the Anaga mountain range meets the sea. It was completed in 1864 and is one of the oldest lighthouses in the Canary Islands. Its light can still be seen in 21 nm.
It is built in a similar style to other lighthouses from the 19th century and consists of a whitewashed, single-storey house with dark volcanic stone, which was used for the brickwork. A twelve meter high tower with a double gallery (view of the Atlantic) is attached to the lake side of the house.
