Hiking

Fischbach, which used to belong to Lenzkirch, was transferred to Schluchsee in 1957. A painting from the Baroque period is dedicated to Saint Magnus. Magnus was a Benedictine monk and abbot of the monastery in Füssen in the Allgäu and lived in the 8th century. He is said to have driven away bears and snakes and all kinds of vermin with his abbot's staff. That is why Magnus is the patron saint of Black Forest farmers against worms, snakes, rats and field mice.
