Over the rooftops of the former district town of Wolfratshausen, the onion dome of the parish church of St. Andreas, which rises broadly and imposingly from its base, greets the land and its people at the confluence of the Loisach and Isar rivers as a "resting pole in the appearance of flight". The sound of bronze bells fills the valley of the rivers from one steep slope to the other. If the tower had human memory, it could, as a key witness, tell the story of Wolfratshausen's eventful fortunes more vividly than any chronicler. Much has happened at its feet over the centuries, joyful and sorrowful, peaceful and warlike. When visitors step into the now stylishly restored church to linger in peace, they must realize that, as the styles and construction phases changed, the place of worship has increasingly become what it has to show today in its magnificent decor. The Wolfratshausen parish church, with its structure and furnishings, has interesting works of local art from the 17th century.

A beautiful church that looked particularly solemn today on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Wolfratshausen Mountain Rifle Company. A festive service formed the solemn framework.
