After the Gothic church burned down in 1484, a new building was built in 1621-1626 by the Munich court mason Georg Graf, using the medieval tower ground floor again. In 1630/1631, the octagonal tower upper floor with onion dome was added. In 1724, the organ gallery was installed by the master mason Benedikt Schafstetter and the stucco worker Urban Graetz from Kempfenhausen. The stucco decoration was expanded on a larger scale in 1906. In 1937, oratorios were installed in the choir. Further repairs were carried out in 1981/1982, with the south entrance being moved one bay to the west.Source and further information
