Just 15-min walk from Old Byland, this road rapidly dropping down to Caydale Mill offers stunning, green views of the dale. Green heaven.

Quickest route from Old Byland to the woods and hills around Peak Scar, it is a tiny road where you are unlikely to encounter any traffic, and you also get the pleasure of the ford at Caydale Mill where the river and the road become one and the same for about 30-40 metres. Steep gradients either side of the mill.
