The Cloer flows into the Niers in the Nierssee area (beautification pond of the sewage treatment plant). It will be renatured in several construction phases on the Bettrather Dyck. The project is explained in great detail on a display board at the position shown. From this position you can look north towards construction phase II.
Quote from the display board: "If you look straight ahead, you will see construction phase II. Here, a constantly water-carrying side channel of the Cloer was created on an approx. 10 m wide strip. The existing pollard willows were completely preserved and are now located on an island. Through the "The different current conditions and water depths that have arisen continually create new and diverse habitats."
