At almost 90 meters high, the monolith “Roque Nublo” rises imposingly and is considered an island landmark and a reminder of a harrowing past. He has inspired painters, writers and musicians. The local composer and writer Néstor Álamo described it as “Lírica piedra lunar”, lyrical moon rock, or “Altar de mi tierra maga”, altar of my enchanting homeland.
