Hiking
Khan a-Shawarda (the merchant inn) was most likely built in the 18th century by Vom al-Omar. It has a square courtyard with the remains of a cattle trough in the centre.
During the British Mandate, openings were made in the Khan's courtyard from the north and south to facilitate traffic. It is believed that a Poor Clares monastery from the Crusader era was located here.

In the tradition of the Khan, there are now a few restaurants here and the whole square is beautifully lit up in the evenings.
