Terril de Belle Vue is a former coal slag heap located in Liège, Belgium. It was closed in 1961 and has a volume of 1,300,000 cubic meters and an area of approximately 7.5 hectares. Its highest point is located at an altitude of 179 meters. The site, along with the nearby Terril de Bernalmont, represents a site of great landscape and biological value at the gates of the Liège agglomeration. These two wooded slag heaps still show some relatively large open areas on their southern flank.

Hiking

In the extension of the Terril de Brialmont you climb after a short descent to the top of the Belle Vue. The name does itself justice because from the top a beautiful view of this part of Liège with the Meuse. The beginning of the Albert Canal with the statue of King Albert I is also clearly visible. Beautiful picture.
