Bois de Beyne is part of the "Parc du Ry-Ponet", a 400-hectare complex of forests, meadows and heathland, named after the river that flows through it.
Since 2015, the municipalities over which the area extends, Liège (Chênée and Grivegnée), Beyne-Heusay, Fléron (Romsée) and Chaudfontaine (Vaux-sous-Chèvrement) have been working on a joint project to protect the area and develop it into a "nature and landscape park".
As a walker you can only applaud that such a beautiful area is being protected from building plans by project developers, as it was there 8 years ago.

Beautiful forest path through deciduous forest with lots of holly in the undergrowth. In the 2nd part a stream suddenly appears from a pipe. A beautiful deep eroded valley is the continuation.
