The plague column in Langenlois on Kornplatz was erected to commemorate the end of the plague epidemic. It is a baroque work of art with several figures of saints who were intended to symbolically offer protection and intercession. For example, Saint Rochus is mentioned - patron saint of plague victims and patron saint against epidemics. Depicted here with a plague boil on his thigh and a dog that provides him with bread.

In 1713, the citizens of Langenlois decided to erect a Trinity column as a thank you for being spared from the plague. The same year, on October 14, 1713, the column, created by the Krems sculptor Andreas Krimmer, was inaugurated.
