The village church in Gablenz was rebuilt in 1759 in late baroque form and with the support of the Muskau lord. Pastor Adolf Aisch wrote the history of the parish of Gablenz and its villages (Gablenz, Jämlitz, Klein Düben and Kromlau) for the 150th anniversary of the parish.
