An old-timer
The Ramselhof is one of the four oldest farms in the Hövelhof district of Riege. The Ramselhof is referred to in historical documents as the 'Unterramselhof'. The farm was first mentioned in official accounts of the Austrian farming community in 1584. Other sources assume that the Ramselhofs already existed 800 years ago. The historic main house, also called the 'Tenne', was built in 1753 and bears the inscription:
O God, protect this house.
