The old Furlmühle from 1592 is a really small highlight in the village Riege. Here cyclists and hikers can cross the small bridge, pass the mill wheel, listen to the splashing of water on a bench and take a break.

A bit off the way but a great resting place on the tour. Even two benches are set up here.

The well-preserved Furlmühle, also known as Hammersmühle, is located on the Furlbach. The water mill served as a grinding mill for the farmers. The mill has a half-timbered house in which the miller used to live. The mill was named after the last miller, Anton Hammer.
The mill has not been in use since 1970. As a result, the building gradually fell into disrepair. In the 1980s it was renovated and opened to the public as a technical monument.
It was repaired again in 2016.
Since 2018 the Furlmühle can be visited again with a booked guided tour. On this tour, visitors learn a lot of interesting information about the history of the mill as well as one or two anecdotes from days gone by.
Guided tours can be booked with Thomas Wecker on 05257 5752. Source: hoevelhof.de/de/tourismus/sehenswuerdigkeiten/sehenswuerdigkeiten/furlmuehle.php
