This is a so-called paaltjasker. This polder mill was built around 1930 and served in the Dongelsveen. In the 1950s, the mill no longer had a function and was stored in the attic of a farm. 30 years later, the mill resurfaced and the owner donated the mill to the municipality of Rolde.

In 1986, the mill was placed along the cycle path at the Grollooërveen. In fact, it only functions there as a tourist attraction. Last year, the mill was renovated and was put back in the spring of 2023.
