On September 3, 1877, a limited partnership was formed, whereby Jeekel, Mijnssen and O.H.L. Nieuwenhuijzen acted as managing partners. This company set itself the objective of operating a factory of semi-crystal and crystal. Initially, business was difficult and it was necessary to obtain most of the equipment, tools and even the necessary workers from abroad. Jeekel died in 1885 and was succeeded by C. Nortier Azn, who had been a limited partner until then. From now on, Nieuwenhuijzen came more to the fore.
