1447- "de Rethoren" is mentioned for the first time in the Oldenburg non-fiction book.
1500 field names give the first indications of brick production
1734- a teacher in Rethorn is named.
1821- Rethorn has 4 vacant houses, 4 farmsteads, 2 Kötereien, 18 Brinksitzer and 19 Heuerhäuser, in which 298 inhabitants live.
1890- a steam brick factory is built in Kamern, followed in 1898 by the brick factory in Rethorn. The Kamerner See is formed by the mining of clay.
1911- Rethorn gets its own school.
1933- 430 inhabitants live in Rethorn in 75 houses.
By 1956, the number of inhabitants had risen to 750 in 101 houses due to the influx of refugees and displaced persons.
1966- After the closure of the brickworks, work begins in the area of the old ones
