About Assisipilger

Great! Nearly the same route I drove in a tour in 2014 : Meckesheim - Maulbronn - Calw - Unterjettingen was the last stage

Nice tour! I too passed through Maulbronn and saw its beautiful Cistercian abbey, but unfortunately that day it was not open to visitors.

Today was a particularly nice tour for both of us. The first stopover was Stromberg with the ancient castle hill and the pilgrimage church.
It went further south, across the Westphalian clear country over the Lippe. There we were surprised by the beautiful Renaissance castle of Hovestadt, today owned by the Counts of Plettenberg.
We went on to Soest, where we arrived around 1:00 a.m. There we looked at the very impressive Gothic church Maria zur Wiese.
We took a lunch break at the market and then drove our hair up and down to the Möhnesees dam.
After a final climb across the Arnsberg Forest and a rapid descent, we have now arrived in Bruchhausen, in the Ruhr Valley. Now we're looking forward to a shower ...

Introductory tour to our father - son weekend. After work we drove from Münster to Ennigerloh. Münster Boot instead of the excellent hard roads that brought us quickly to the Westphalian countryside. We rushed past Drostenhof in Wolbeck to find an open hotel in Ennigerloh. Hinterwolbeck then unfortunately deteriorated the quality of the bike paths on the larger roads. In some cases we preferred to take the road to avoid the tree roots on arched stretches that were hardly passable at more than 10 km / h.
Before Ennigerloh, the landscape becomes hilly and beautiful.
Let's see what happens tomorrow ...
