What storms have they braved, how many animals have they given food and shelter? For example Friederike with its estimated 1,200 years the second oldest living oak in Germany. Not only its size of 630 ha, but also its well-preserved primeval forest have made Hasbruch known far beyond the region. Well signposted paths lead past oak trees that are up to 1,200 years old. Artists have always been inspired by this forest. But those looking for relaxation are also magically drawn to the fairytale Hasbruch. The core area of approx. 29 ha was placed under nature protection in 1938. By leaving the natural forest to yourself, an "Eldorado" for plants and animals was created.
