In 1800 the Manoir des Mouettes was built from an old farmhouse.
In 1865, the relics of "Saint Valentin" were granted by Pius IX to Abbé Tréhu, the owner of the Manor. When the latter died, his niece, sole heiress, offered to keep the relics and had a Gothic-style oratory built in the garden of the property.
Following the Second Vatican Council in 1962, Father Telisle, then parish priest of Courtils, obtained the relocation of the reliquary to a less temporary place. It is then placed in the chapel, on the other side of the central aisle where it is currently located.
The cachet of the "Saint Valentin" chapel brings a touch of romanticism to the Manoir de la Roche Torin which now serves as a hotel. manoir-rochetorin.com/fr
