This beautiful cross stands in the middle of the parish forest and next to it is a small rest area where you can linger.

04/28/2018 - Blessing of the cross on the Ristlweg

On Sunday, April 29, a blessing of the cross took place high above the church in St. Andrä on the Ristlweg in the parish forest. Thanks to an initiative by the Koberger and Bauer families, the 43-year-old wayside cross was renewed. One story goes that a hiker (the exact time is not known) got lost in the fog and found his way to the valley thanks to the bells of the parish church. As a thank you, he had a cross erected. The last renewal in July 1969 was carried out by the population, as it is today, and was blessed by the pastor, who had been in office for a short time, today's Monsignor Luger. So it is perhaps no coincidence that the now renewed cross was blessed by the new moderator, Mag. Marian Lewicki. On this beautiful, warm Sunday, over 100 young and old believers gathered to go up the mountain and take part in the blessing. This festival was celebrated in an atmospheric atmosphere, accompanied by music and a subsequent agape. Among the guests were Mayor Alfred Stachelberger and Vice Mayor Franz Semler, who thanked the Koberger and Bauer families for this initiative.
