The Bult (Former Horse Racing Track Hanover)

This is the Bult, the former horse racing track (the new Bult is in Langenhagen).
Only a few trees and the Hiroshima grove can be found here. For several decades you would almost always find a herd of sheep, which kept the vegetation small, so that you get an almost steppe-like impression. You can also find the very last horse stable. I still remember Sinti or Roma camps on the site in the late 1980s.
Today the Bult is the local recreation area for the district of the same name and visitors to the adjacent children's clinic.
But it is NOT the Eilenriede. It connects with its forest area. In this respect, the title of this highlight is incorrect. Some of the images posted do not belong here either.
