Road Cycling Highlight
With a babbling brook, manicured gardens and chocolate box cottages, Waddington is a lovely village in Lancashire. Its historic buildings house fascinating tales: Henry VI went into hiding in Waddington Hall for 12 months, before he was betrayed to the Yorkists in 1465. Today, you can explore the pretty village and enjoy a slice of cake at the bike-friendly cafe opposite the church.

Picturesque small village with three good pubs, shop and café. Worth a visit. Also has a defibrillator in a phone box, hopefully you'll never need to use it.

Also a traditional cyclist cafe that has been there ages opposite the church
