A test of fitness for local cyclists. It's tough and most cyclists love to hate it. This climb isn't particularly long (1.2 miles) but is steep in parts, approach from the east. It has an average gradient of 9% but maxes out at around 24%. Road surface is not the best, so be particularly careful if you decide to descend it (west to east)
