From the nearby Pass Lueg it is only a few steps to the Salzachöfen natural monument. The imposing breakthrough between the Tennengebirge and Hagengebirge in the Dachsteinkalk is more than 80 meters deep.
The rock walls show numerous, huge erosion scours caused by the formation of vortices of the flowing water. The impressive natural spectacle inspires young and old and can easily be combined with a visit to the pilgrimage church "Maria Brunneck" built in 1763 at the top of the pass.

If there is enough time, you can get off your bike here and walk through the gorge, which is well worth seeing
