Around the old town center you will find the partly well-preserved medieval town wall from the 14th century. The stone wall, 8 to 10 meters high and up to 1.5 meters wide, was built around the entire original city. Whole sections of the wall with watchtowers (originally there were 26) have been preserved here to this day. A deep ditch and a rampart complemented the original city fortifications.
