Tips
Small chapel with a beautiful cross outside on the edge of the forest and some seating on the Franziskuspfad. Close by is a Lourdes grotto with a figure of the Madonna. The chapel was unfortunately closed and could not be visited.

A nice place. As is so often the case with Christianization, it went well here: the first Christian church in the region was built on the site of a pagan spring shrine.

The original Ave stood here in the 9th century, but as a wooden chapel. Even today no candles are allowed to be lit due to the risk of fire.
