Nothing is known about the construction of the church in Oberschaar. Based on their architectural style, it is assumed that they are from the 14th/15th. century. Since time immemorial, it has belonged to Krummenhennersdorf as a daughter church. Haida was also in the parish of Oberschaar. Not all church services were performed in the Oberschaar church in earlier times, so that the residents had to move to the Krummenhennersdorf mother church on high holidays (until 1833). There were stalls for the Oberschaar community members.
