Hiking

The St. Martin Church in Mertendorf was inaugurated in 1817 in its current form and appearance. Its predecessor had to be demolished at the beginning of the 19th century due to dilapidation. The inside of the church encloses a two-story horseshoe gallery with an organ in the south, west and north. There is a pulpit altar to the east. The special feature of this church complex is that it has no attached tower but a separate bell house from 1868.
