This bike path connects the Elster and the Saale valley and uses the route of the old "Zuckerbahn" from Zeitz to Camburg. In the past, coal and, as the name suggests, sugar were transported, but since 1999 the line has been shut down and is gradually being rebuilt into a cycle path. As usual on a railway track, you drive here wonderfully quiet and far away from the traffic, only occasional bollards interrupt the otherwise enjoyable ride. If you want, you'll find countless sights along the way.

Nicely developed route. Drive quietly. There are annoying barriers at road crossings, but you can live with that too. From Osterfeld towards Camburg, even more natural, racing bike riders watch out - fast corners on a wet track.
