You can't get to the famous monastery courtyard through the cathedral, but a bit further through the courtyard of the bishop's palace. It's only a better parking space, but after it comes a ticket check and then the cloister. Don't stay downstairs, climb onto the roof terrace. Beautiful perspectives, great peace at lunchtime.

This cloister is located in the former Benedictine abbey of Arles. The figural design of the chapters and columns is particularly beautiful. The entrance fee to this now state-owned building is well worth it. You can also see large, large rooms that were probably dormitories, scriptoriums and refectories. Unfortunately, despite the entrance fee, there is no detailed explanation of this wonderful building.
