1618-1648, destruction of the inn in the Thirty Years' War
1786, The brewery on Memminger Straße burns down to the ground. 2 years later, the brewery is rebuilt by the prince abbot. The prince abbey and the princely brewery become the property of the Elector of Bavaria

The Zum Stift brewery restaurant is a striking pub in Kempten (Allgäu). The appearance of the neo-baroque monument, built in 1906, was influenced by Andor Ákos. Striking details of the three-story house are the bay window tower and the tail gable. In addition to the three-story main building, the restaurant also includes the attached, significantly lower Old Brauhaus behind it.
