The former game and walking park has been transformed into Duinenpark Molenheide in recent years. In the winter of 2022, large-scale nature restoration works began. Centuries-old dune and heathland that lay buried under pine plantations for mining was uncovered again. The wild boars were given a new enclosure near the forest canteen, from where you can still admire them. In the long term, the fence around the park will disappear. This will allow wild, indigenous animals to enter the area, and the park will also form an important connection between nearby nature reserves such as Pijnven and Schietveld.
