Walking from or to Braemar from the south, it is best to follow the Old Military Road instead of walking along the busy A93. You will pass scenic old buildings and there is a small wooden bridge that will take you over the Clunie Water if necessary.

Hiking

Not a great stretch to walk, just a tarmac road. This does however provide a handy route to use when doing a loop over Morrone, giving an easy walk back to the car park or Braemar.
