Mount Battock
A hike up Scotland's eastern most corbett. Lots of pheasants and grouse about. Quite a steep route, despite largely being on good estate tracks.

Autumn path survey
Surveyed the condition of the path up Lochnagar. Very windy in the boulder field, to the point of getting shifted sideways. Happily it calmed down again and the sun came out. Beautiful views.

Dyce to Forest Farm Dairy 🍨🍦
Largely off-road route to Forest Farm Dairy via Kirkhill Forest. Delicious organic ice cream and sorbet made from scratch. Had the blackcurrant sorbet and raspberry cheesecake gelato. 😋

Täsch Alpabzug 🐄
We walked from Zermatt to Täsch to watch the cows coming down from the alpine meadows into the village for winter. Three cows were decorated for the festivities.

Matterhorn glacier trail

Gornergrat to Zermatt
After staying at the 3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat we sent our luggage down on the Gornergrat train, while we walked down.

Eiger Trail
After exploring the Jungfraujoch we left the train at Eigergletscher and hiked along the Eiger Trail to Alpiglen. Fulfilling a childhood dream to see the Eiger, after having read a few books, including Heinrich Harrer's "The White Spider". Such an impressive location!
