Great walk up Morven today. Started below the clouds, then ascended into the clouds. Just below the summit, we suddenly emerged from the clouds into sunshine. A beautiful cloud inversion. Had some lunch and enjoyed the view of Mount Keen, Lochnagar, Ben Avon and other peaks floating like islands in the clouds.

Morrone, a corbett, can easily be reached from Braemar. A nice half day walk. Usually good views of the Cairngorms, although we just saw the inside of a cloud. There are 2 transmitters at the summit, which were eerie in the fog. We found some shelter from the wind for a quick sandwich.
