Beautiful stretch below the Affensteine to Wildwiese; changing coverings, partly sandy / rocky .... always 😋 (Lorenzlöcher to Wildwiese lacks the signage as a "cycle route in the National Park" ... but there goes on: maps for download at nationalpark-saechsische-schweiz.de)

In the Saxon Switzerland National Park, special cycling routes have been designated as cycling on the trails i.d.R. is not allowed. Information at nationalpark-saechsische-schweiz.de 👍

In general, it is a great place to cycle. However, it must be said that this is not possible on all paths in Saxon Switzerland, but only on those designated for this purpose. So, where you might otherwise hike, you might not be able to get to by bike. Not to mention that many routes are not suitable for cycling anyway, where you have to overcome a lot of steps or climb, for example.

Nevertheless, we can recommend doing a round trip here during the week (it is just too busy at the weekend) and getting off every now and then and exploring the branches on foot. There are also connecting trails to the Czech Republic, where there are even more cycling options than there already are.

Note: Most of the cycle paths are forest roads. Some are asphalted, some on flat forest floor, and some are rough gravel roads.
