In 1732, Friedrich August Fiedler built the Niegripp church on behalf of Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia. The floor plan is reminiscent of a Greek cross. A black rider with two lanterns rises above the red roof. Inside, the patron's box opposite the pulpit altar is striking: it is beautifully decorated and glazed.
The "Soldier King" was a pragmatic man who wanted to strengthen his empire with immigrants. So that they could settle there, he often donated "the church in the village".
