The old "Rescue Route" is the southern path between Anholt Lighthouse and Anholt Village. The path leads through a beautiful heath landscape and passes several shifting dunes.

The path is marked with poles every 100 meters.

Please note that you are not allowed to drive or cycle on the paths in Ørkenen. The only way to visit the area is on foot.

If you go all the way to the lighthouse it's a good idea to bring water as there is no access to water either on the way or outside at the lighthouse.
