The neo-baroque Kreuzkirche was built after the demolition of the old church according to a design by Heinrich Hauberrisser and consecrated in 1924. It consists of a nave, a transept, a recessed choir closed on three sides in the east and the baroque church tower in the southeast corner of the transept and choir. The top floor of the church tower houses the tower clock and the belfry, in which five church bells hang. The church furnishings include a high altar flanked by statues of James and Judas Thaddeus.

The church was rebuilt after the demolition of the old church and consecrated on October 12, 1924. Only the baroque tower from the years 1736 to 1738 remained. The interior of the church that you see is built in the neo-baroque style. At the high altar stands the figure of our church patron: Saint Andrew. The St. Andrew's cross points to his martyrdom. He proclaimed the faith and died for it. He reminds us that every baptized person is called to bear witness of his faith. He is flanked by the figures of Saint James (right) and Saint Jude Thaddeus (left). Saint James the Greater was one of the twelve apostles. His attributes, pilgrim's staff and shell, indicate that he is the patron saint of pilgrims. One encounters his name again and again on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. The first Christians saw themselves as “those on the way”. Saint Jude Thaddeus was an apostle and is shown with the pen and book because he wrote a book in the New Testament. The club points to his martyrdom. He is the patron saint of the desperate and is invoked in hopeless situations. The side altars are dedicated to Mary with the child on the left and to the heart of Jesus on the right. There are three paintings at the top of the ceiling.

Parsberg is located at about 550 m above sea level in the middle of the Upper Palatinate Jura.
Visible from afar, the ensemble of castle and parish church on the Burgberg characterizes the cityscape. Today's neo-baroque church was rebuilt using the old baroque tower (1736 to 1738) after the previous church was demolished and inaugurated on October 12, 1924.
Through various architectural and interior design elements, the church is unmistakably the work of the architect Heinrich Hauberrisser, who left his unmistakable signature, especially in the Upper Palatinate, on numerous baroque-style new church buildings in the first decades of the 20th century.
