After the orphanage chapel opposite (1732) was initially used for the Protestant Christians in Catholic Norten and this became too small due to the influx of Protestants, the impressive neo-Gothic Christ Church was built in 1902-04.
A short, two-bay nave with a transept and chancel is attached to the west tower with a slender helmet.
