The winery is located in the municipality of Freyburg-Zscheiplitz in the German Saale-Unstrut wine-growing region. It was founded in 1990 by Irene and Herbert Pawis with only 0.5 hectares of vineyards. Son Bernard Pawis took over the business in 1998 and laid the foundation for expansion with a newly built modern winery. In 2007, the move from Freyburg to the extensively renovated historic monastery estate in the district of Zscheiplitz took place. A bouquet economy is attached. Events organized by the winery enrich the cultural life of the region. You can also live wonderfully in the holiday apartments directly in the winery next to the large round former water tower, which is now a lookout tower.
