The Jersey breed of cow is a small, light brown dairy cow, originally from the Channel Island of Jersey. The Jersey cow is small, elegant and slender and produces special milk that is very good for making cheese. But the meat of this breed is also special. The meat is marbled and has a distinct taste. In addition, the meat of our animals is special because we keep them outside as much as possible, so the animals move a lot. The meat is therefore deep red in color and has a concentrated taste. The diet of our animals is aimed at the health of the animal and consists of grass, hay, Celtic sea salt and, in winter, an organic herbal muesli. As a result, the meat contains relatively much more Omega-3 fatty acids. The fat in the meat is not white, but sometimes almost yellow: a sign that our animals have eaten a lot of grass at ease. And that is not only healthy, but also very tasty!
