In the shadow of the church is a sculpture with the somewhat cryptic title: Fien van Krones. With the addition: “Our mother already carried 13 children singing”. This concerns Josephina who married Petrus Van Esbroeck in Londerzeel in 1902 and gave birth to 13 children in the twenty years that followed. The couple kept an inn, butcher shop and banquet hall called "Afspanning in de Kroon". That is why the Van Esbroeck family is known as “those of Krones”. The statue was made by the sculptor, honorary citizen of the municipality, Pol Van Esbroeck. A tribute to his ancestor.

This Gothic church was probably built in the 13th century and is dedicated to Saint Christopher, the patron saint of travellers. His feast day falls on July 25 and around that date vehicles are still blessed in Londerzeel.
